One (1) 95’-0” diameter x 60’ high 75,000 BBL Capacity, Three (3) 80’-0” diameter x 60’ high 53,000 BBL Capacity, and One (1) 36’-0” diameter x 32’ high 5800 BBL Capacity API 650 welded steel storage tanks with internal floating roofs constructed and painted in Tacoma, WA.
A 2006 Steel Tank Institute Tank of the Year Award-winning 160’ft high x 53’d welded steel water tank with a self-supported seal welded knuckle roof. The site was located in a new housing development and had very limited access and the developer requested minimal clearing on site.
The new 80’diameter x 115’h 4.2MG water tank sat on a 110′ diameter x 4.5′ thick mat foundation with a 5.5′ tall ringwall. The foundation contained over 1800 cy of concrete, 147 tons of rebar and 86 each 2 1/2" diameter anchor bolts. The project had a total of 7000 cy of mass excavation to accommodate the new foundation and detention pond.
Project included demolition/removal of an existing standpipe and construction of a new 2.5MG water reservoir, foundation, associated site earthwork/grading, utilities, electrical, telemetry, etc. The new foundation consisted of approximately 1000 cy of concrete to form a 87’ diameter mat foundation for the reservoir with 76 anchor bolts and approximately 144,000 lbs. of steel reinforcement.
Seismic upgrades to the existing 5MG water tank included 45 each new prestressed earth anchors through an expanded concrete foundation with new anchor chairs, piping and other misc. upgrades.
T BAILEY, INC. built a new Pump Station for the private developer of the Maple RIdge Highlands to go along with the new 4Mg Water Reservoir and .5MG Standpipe.
T BAILEY, INC. erected two new replacement standpipes for the City of Issaquah and removed two existing standpipes that were no longer up to current building code requirements. The new tanks sat on one massive foundation on a confined site that required mass excavation of 3000 cy and 4 underground utility vaults and associated valves and piping.
Construction of a firefighting training facility including site work, structural steel mock-up, high temperature resistant concrete pads, control building, jet fuel fire simulation system, and electrical work.
