Construction of a firefighting training facility including site work, structural steel mock-up, high temperature resistant concrete pads, control building, jet fuel fire simulation system, and electrical work.
T BAILEY, INC. fabricated, coated and delivered approximately 786 LF of 119” diameter ½” thick steel pipe in various lengths ranging from 5’ L – 43’ L, including 3 elbow sections, 12 ring girders, 24 slide bearing / fixed bearing supports, trash rack structure and 215’ of catwalk.
T BAILEY, INC. performed site development including fuel containment and underground utilities to accommodate 3 new API 650 fuel tanks and 2 UL 142 fuel tanks.
A 2006 Steel Tank Institute Tank of the Year Award-winning 160’ft high x 53’d welded steel water tank with a self-supported seal welded knuckle roof. The site was located in a new housing development and had very limited access and the developer requested minimal clearing on site.
The new 80’diameter x 115’h 4.2MG water tank sat on a 110′ diameter x 4.5′ thick mat foundation with a 5.5′ tall ringwall. The foundation contained over 1800 cy of concrete, 147 tons of rebar and 86 each 2 1/2" diameter anchor bolts. The project had a total of 7000 cy of mass excavation to accommodate the new foundation and detention pond.
Project included demolition/removal of an existing standpipe and construction of a new 2.5MG water reservoir, foundation, associated site earthwork/grading, utilities, electrical, telemetry, etc. The new foundation consisted of approximately 1000 cy of concrete to form a 87’ diameter mat foundation for the reservoir with 76 anchor bolts and approximately 144,000 lbs. of steel reinforcement.
T BAILEY, INC. built a new Pump Station for the private developer of the Maple RIdge Highlands to go along with the new 4Mg Water Reservoir and .5MG Standpipe.
Steel Tank Institute’s 2008 Tank of the Year Award Winning project! The new foundation consisted of 22 ½ tons of rebar and 550 cy of 4000 psi ready-mix concrete to anchor the new 75’ diameter x 61’ shell high (77’ overall height, including the knuckle and roof) 2MG water reservoir. The reservoir features extensive architectural detailing including 8 main pilasters and 16 secondary pilasters and both upper and lower halos. These architectural details were added solely to provide the owner’s desired visual effect. The tank has a prominent location atop the historic hill and is visible throughout much of the city.
T BAILEY operated as the general contractor to construct a 5.2M gallon AWWA water reservoir for the City of Olympia. This turn-key project included designing, shop fabricating steel, and field erecting an 80’ diameter x 144’ tall welded steel water tank reservoir with a self-supported domed roof.
