Safety Requirements: Ensuring Workplace Safety at T BAILEY, INC.

Safety at T BAILEY, INC.

At T BAILEY, INC we’re known for quality manufacturing and fast turnarounds, but for us the most important factor is that every one of our projects is built on sound safety requirements.

Workplace safety is and has always been a part of our identity, which is the reason why our team of professionals constantly works to improve our award-winning mitigation and remediation protocols.

It’s the best way to ensure that our team members are backed by an innovative initiative based on ongoing cutting-edge training and the incorporation of preventive best practices at every step of the fabrication process.

Our Health and Safety Program

Our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program is a multi-faceted approach we utilize to ensure safety best practices are being followed throughout the duration of every one of our projects.

T BAILEY, INC has received prestigious awards for this world-class program and the results it produces, but our biggest achievement is the ability to ensure safety performance levels that exceed industry standards consistently.

Our safety protocols are built on the following:

Health & Safety Training

Whether we’re fabricating oil tanks, penstock, or pressure vessels, our perspective remains the same: all incidents, injuries, and job-related illnesses are preventable, regardless of their magnitude.

Because of this, we provide regular safety and health training for all employees, which in turn helps to keep accident rates below the industry average, striving towards zero.

These training sessions occur periodically and are imparted by the same specialists who, along with our safety committee, identify and develop the protocols we put in place.

Job Hazard Analysis

Discovery of industrial workplace safety shortcomings during a project is not an option at T BAILEY, INC because all tasks are subject to an internal job hazard analysis. This ensures that every task required to complete a job can be done without putting our team or equipment at risk.

During this process, our team of professionals assesses the steps required to complete a project and takes a deep dive from a safety perspective. Once it’s certain that a project’s requirements can be met on time without jeopardizing any contributor or stakeholder involved, we move forward with the task.

Knowledge Assessment Testing

We believe that delivering training is necessary, but it’s only one part of the safety compliance system that’s kept our accident rates so low.

Our safety and security knowledge is only as strong as the weakest link in the chain. This is the reason why we assess and evaluate our team members’ comprehension on a regular basis as this ensures that our entire workforce is on the same level.

Periodic Inspections and Audits

We perform two types of inspections and audits at T BAILEY, INC The first focuses on evaluating the state of our machinery, equipment, mechanical guards, and working environment as a whole.

Equally important, the evaluation of our team members, observed best practices, and personal protective equipment also enables us to operate facilities that have personnel safety as their highest priority.

Compliance for Safety Excellence

T BAILEY, INC complies with and follows all guidelines set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as the regulatory requirements by state and local agencies, including the Washington State Department of Labor Industries and the Department of Ecology for environmental compliance.

As part of the Department of Labor, OSHA enforces safety standards by providing a variety of safety training courses, assistance, and other resources. Our team periodically undergoes the organization’s comprehensive training program that covers topics from assessment procedures to hygiene protocols and beyond.

Awards and Recognitions

At T BAILEY, INC. we follow lauded safety protocols that keep our team, facilities, and contractors safe. Our awards and recognitions include:

  • The Governor John D. Spellman Safety Award from the Evergreen Safety Council. The award was presented to us by former Governor Spellman and his team on July 12th, in a ceremony at our March Point facility in Anacortes
  • T BAILEY, INC. is an active member of both ISN and Avetta
  • Our last OSHA citation was emitted more than 5 years ago
