T Bailey, Inc. has built over a dozen petroleum storage tanks for our site and rebuilt a number of others in our working tank farm in the last several years.

While known for their remarkable speed to complete their work, in our case, it has been done safely despite very congested working conditions with the other trades and often rough weather conditions- both high winds and rain. Quality Control & Testing

We understand that storage tanks have ZERO room for error, which is why all fabrication processes are controlled by our in-house quality control department.

Our QC team conducts weld quality tests, leak tests, coating and paint tests, and more to ensure the tanks we create are robust and can stand the test of time.

The comprehensive testing conducted on your tank depends on tank style and product, but will include some of the following:

  • Visual inspection during fabrication
  • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Impact Testing
  • Heat treating and stress relieving
  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Fabrication Process

Tanks under 20 feet wide and 20 feet tall are built start-to-finish in our shop. This includes coating and painting. Once completed, these shop-built tanks are delivered to the job site.

Steel storage tanks over 20×20 feet are field erected. This means we fabricate pieces of the tank in our shop, ship them to the job site, and then construct the tank there. Once the tank is fully built, we’ll blast and coat the steel and finish the construction process with thorough testing.

Delivery & Site Preparation

Another advantage of partnering with T BAILEY INC. is that our prime location enables you to select from two shipping options, including barge, and truck. We’ll give a shipping cost assessment to help you choose the ideal delivery option for your tank.

We also have the capability to provide site preparation for the steel storage tank. This is a huge advantage for field-erected tanks, as it eliminates your need to hire a separate contractor for site work. As your general contractor, we’ll get the site prep done, allowing us to tightly control the project’s timeline and budget.
