ASME Pressure Vessel Fabrication Services Experts

T BAILEY LLC provides full-service pressure vessel fabrication from our Anacortes, Washington facility. With over 25 years of dedicated pressure vessel experience, our team manages every phase in-house, from pressure vessel design and fabrication through blasting, coating, testing, and delivery.

As an ASME-certified pressure vessel fabricator, we produce custom pressure vessels in carbon and stainless steel. Our facility supports vessels up to 100 tons, 120 feet long, and 14 feet in diameter, giving us the capacity for large pressure vessel fabrication that most regional competitors cannot match.

T BAILEY LLC delivers more than standard pressure vessel fabrication. We provide a fully integrated solution backed by decades of heavy steel fabrication experience, combining large-scale production capacity with in-house industrial coatings services, inspection, and logistics through our steel fabrication services. Keeping every phase under one roof reduces the risk of scheduling delays, miscommunication, and quality issues that come with multi-vendor projects.

ASME Pressure Vessel Capabilities

T BAILEY LLC’s vessel fabrication division produces ASME pressure vessels built to Section VIII, Division 1 requirements. We fabricate in both carbon steel and stainless steel, with wall thicknesses ranging from 1/4″ to 3″ to accommodate a wide range of operating pressures and service conditions.

Vessels can be configured for horizontal or vertical installation, with welded or bolting flange head assemblies and a choice of flanged and dished (F&D), semi-elliptical, or hemispherical head geometries to suit specific application requirements. Whether the project calls for steel pressure vessel fabrication in a refinery environment or stainless steel pressure vessel fabrication for chemical processing, T BAILEY LLC has the equipment and expertise to deliver.

Pressure Vessel Fabrication Certifications

T BAILEY LLC holds the certifications that industrial clients, engineers, and regulatory bodies require:

  • ASME U-Stamp: Certification for the fabrication of pressure vessels under the ASME code
  • ASME NBIC R-Stamp: Authorization for alteration and repair of ASME-stamped pressure vessels
  • NB-Stamp: All pressure vessel work is registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors
  • SSPC QP3: Certified contractor for shop-applied coatings

Our Quality Manager holds AWS CWI, API 653, and CWB Supervisor certifications with over thirty-five years of ASME fabrication experience. Combined with annual third-party audits, this ensures every vessel meets or exceeds ASME code pressure vessel fabrication requirements and applicable OSHA pressure vessel safety standards.

Pressure Vessel Design and Engineering

T BAILEY LLC supports the full project lifecycle as a pressure vessel manufacturer and engineering partner, working with experienced design engineers to ensure every custom pressure vessel meets specifications, code requirements, and budget targets.

Our team handles everything from preliminary planning and conceptual design through performance and strength calculations, cost recommendations, and final CAD modeling.

This integrated approach ensures that design intent is carried seamlessly into fabrication, reducing rework and supporting compliance with ASME and industry-specific requirements.

Pressure Vessel Fabrication Process

T BAILEY LLC’s pressure vessel manufacturing team follows a structured production process on every build:

  1. Cut and etch the steel plate using CNC plasma cutting machines
  2. Roll the plate into cylinders of the required diameter
  3. Weld the longitudinal seam of each cylinder
  4. Attach heads and join cylinders to form the vessel shell using single or tandem welding manipulators
  5. Cut nozzle openings and install nozzles
  6. Attach hardware, lifting devices, structural supports, ladders, platforms, and accessories per customer specifications
  7. Submit the completed vessel to rigorous testing and quality control inspection

Circumferential seams are completed using submerged arc welding for strong, consistent joints, and each step is documented to maintain full traceability throughout this industrial pressure vessel fabrication process, reinforcing the same standards applied across our full range of steel fabrication projects.

Testing and Quality Control

Quality control is central to T BAILEY LLC’s pressure vessel fabrication services. Our Director of Quality Assurance oversees a comprehensive testing program to ensure every vessel meets ASME code requirements and project specifications:

  • Visual inspection and step-by-step process monitoring
  • Radiographic (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Dye Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle (MT) testing
  • Heat treating, stress relieving, hardness, and impact testing
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)
  • Leak testing and hydrostatic testing up to 2,500 psig
  • Soluble salt testing, environmental monitoring, and reporting
  • Blast and lining profile measurement, dry film thickness, and adhesion testing
  • Lining continuity (holiday) testing

We ensure each vessel is fully compliant and ready for safe operation, consistent with the standards applied across our industrial fabrication and construction services. As experienced ASME pressure vessel fabricators, we provide full traceability and documentation prior to shipment.

Coatings and Surface Protection

T BAILEY LLC performs all blasting and coating work in-house at our AISC-certified facility, eliminating the need to transfer your steel pressure vessel fabrication project to a separate contractor. Every vessel begins with a thorough prewash per SSPC SP1 to remove oils, soluble salts, and surface contaminants, followed by machine or manual blasting to achieve the required surface profile.

From there, we apply the appropriate coating system based on the vessel’s service environment, including thermal spray metallizing with aluminum or zinc, as well as high-performance epoxy, urethane, enamel, and vinyl ester coatings through our specialized industrial coatings services. Coating work begins early in fabrication and continues through completion, ensuring consistent protection across every surface. This improves coating performance, extends service life, and eliminates the delays and quality risks of outsourcing to third-party providers

Shipping and Logistics

T BAILEY LLC’s facility is located near the deep-water port at Anacortes, a rail spur, and a major interstate, giving clients flexible delivery options for pressure vessel fabrication near them or across the country:

  • Truck: In-house drivers handle local deliveries; for longer distances or oversized loads, we coordinate with experienced third-party carriers
  • Barge: For projects in Alaska, Hawaii, or any site with water access, we arrange barge or steamship delivery
  • Rail: Access to a rail spur enables shipment throughout the continental United States and Canada

T BAILEY LLC provides a cost analysis so clients can select the most efficient shipping option for their job site and schedule.
