North Water Reservoir – Gig Harbor, WA

A 2006 Steel Tank Institute Tank of the Year Award-winning 160’ft high x 53’d welded steel water tank with a self-supported seal welded knuckle roof. The site was located in a new housing development and had very limited access and the developer requested minimal clearing on site.

4.2MG Hazen Reservoir Foundation – Renton, WA

The new 80’diameter x 115’h 4.2MG water tank sat on a 110′ diameter x 4.5′ thick mat foundation with a 5.5′ tall ringwall. The foundation contained over 1800 cy of concrete, 147 tons of rebar and 86 each 2 1/2" diameter anchor bolts. The project had a total of 7000 cy of mass excavation to accommodate the new foundation and detention pond.

Boulevard Road Reservoir Foundation Olympia, WA

Project included demolition/removal of an existing standpipe and construction of a new 2.5MG water reservoir, foundation, associated site earthwork/grading, utilities, electrical, telemetry, etc. The new foundation consisted of approximately 1000 cy of concrete to form a 87’ diameter mat foundation for the reservoir with 76 anchor bolts and approximately 144,000 lbs. of steel reinforcement.

Queen Anne Reservoir – Seattle, WA

Steel Tank Institute’s 2008 Tank of the Year Award Winning project! The new foundation consisted of 22 ½ tons of rebar and 550 cy of 4000 psi ready-mix concrete to anchor the new 75’ diameter x 61’ shell high (77’ overall height, including the knuckle and roof) 2MG water reservoir. The reservoir features extensive architectural detailing including 8 main pilasters and 16 secondary pilasters and both upper and lower halos. These architectural details were added solely to provide the owner’s desired visual effect. The tank has a prominent location atop the historic hill and is visible throughout much of the city.
